날씨 토픽은 그냥 연습하기에도 좋은 주제다.

특히 간단한 대화를 더 잘하고 싶을 때 좋다.

사소한 대화를 잘 하고 싶다면 날씨는 여러분이 마스터해야하는 중요한 주제다.

 

Q) How has the weather in your country changed over the years?

- What was the weather like when you were a child?

- How different is it now?

You know, I watched the news this morning.

It said we have tons of fine deust in the air.

This is just disaster.

Can you imagine?

How can I live with this much fine dust?

 

You know, in the past, I think even 3 years ago, it wasn't like that.

Basically, we won't worry about air quality.

And we were able to do anything outside.

But these days, basically, we can't do anything outside.

We just, you know.. if you just stand outside for only a few minutes you can feel all the dest in your mouth.

This is just awful.

And I don't know if this will be better or not but hopefully this will be handled very soon.

질문에 있는 단어 사용

그러면서 다음에 말할 내용 생각하고 있다.

그 다음 거의 바로 다음 문장을 말한다. 너무 자연스럽다.

대답할 떄 뉴스 단어를 썼다. 매우 자연스럽다. 그 자리에서 바로 생각하고 있느 것처럼 보여진다.

만약 15번 문제였다면 이와 같이 똑같은 대답을 해도 된다.

정말 좋은 전략이다.

It said we have tons of fine deust in the air. (IH레벨)

= We have a serious fine dust problem(AL 레벨)

= We are starting to have a serious fine dust issue(AL+ 레벨)

*** starting to have ~ : 시작되고 있다

매우 좋은 수사적인 질문이다.

Ava를 대화로 끌어들이고 있다.

또한 뉴스로 시작해서 본인의 경험으로 자연스럽게 넘어가고 있다.

How can I live with this much fine dust? (IH)

= How am I supposed to live with this much fine dust? (AL)

이건 비교 질문이라느 걸 생각해보면

이 학생은 매우 잘 대답하고 있다. 완전한 현재형 요점으로 말하고 있다.

또한 현재 날씨 문제에 대해서 말하고 있다. 특히 미세먼지

ㅡ리고 왜 싫어하는지 말해주고 있다.

이제 과거로 넘어가고 있다.

 

You know, in the past, I think even 3 years ago, it wasn't like that.

과거로 넘어가면서 자동적으로 대조되고 있다. 

질문에서 identify the similarities or the differences(유사점과 차이점을 찾아라)고 해도

답변에서 Ok, the similarities are this/And the differences are that" 이렇게 말할 필요 없다.

이렇게 답하면 매우 뻣뻣(rigid)해 보인다.

여기에서는 모든 것이 가정되는 것이다. 즉, similar/different란 단어를 쓸 필요없ㄷ이

자연스럽게 대조를 보여주자.

 

알려준 구조와 전략, 즉 완전 현재형으로 시작해서 바로 과거형으로 마무리한다.

 

Basically, we didn't have to worry about air quality.

=We never really had to worry about air quality.(AL)

=We never really had to worry about air quality. We went outside pretty much worry-free.(AL+)

과거형으로 말하고 있었기에 계속 과거형으로 말한다.

AL+로 말하기 위해서는 한문장으로 멈추지 말고 더 발전시켜주면 좋다. 말한 것을 더 확실하게 해줘라,

worry라는 같은 단어를 사용했지만 다른 방법으로 사용했다. 이를 한 문장에서 말한다면 정말 효과적일 것이다. 그리고 다음 문장에서 같은단어를 다른 방법으로 사용할 수 있다. 이 스타일이 바로 AL+이다.

 

And we were able to do anything outside.(IM2)

무슨 말을 하려는 것인지 불분명한 느낌이다. 또한 감정을 놓쳤다.

=And we were able to freely go outside without having to wear a mask. (AL)

마스크를 언급하면서 메세지를 명확하게 하고 있다.

Oh, and this was just amazing!

이에 대한 감정을 드러내는 문장을 넣자.

But these days, basically, we can't do anything outside.

좀더 디테일하게 말할 필요가 있다.

->But these days, basically, we can't do anything outside without having to worry about fine dust. (AL)

 

We just, you know.. if you just stand outside for only a few minutes you can feel all the dust in your mouth.

We just를 말하고 틀렸다고 생각이 들어서다시 시작해야 한다고 깨닫고 you know라는 필러를 사용해서 다시 말했다.

only 단어를 써서 문장이 더 미묘하게 디테일해졌다.

입안에서 먼지가 느껴진다는 표현이 어색하므로 바꾸자

-> We just, you know.. if you just stand outside for only a few minutes you can sort of feel the dust accumulation in your lungs.(AL+)

 

 

This is just awful.

awful이라고 말하면서 감정에 집중해서 말하고 있다.

just는 AL단어이다.

 

And I don't know if this will be better or not but hopefully this will be handled very soon.

너무 일반적인 결론방법이다. 나쁜 건 아니다. 하지만 좀 더 독특하고 더 높은 점수를 받을 기회를 올리고 싶다면 할수만 있다면 약간의 유머를 추가해보라.
